At Ark Pest Control we genuinely believe the foundation of true sustainability requires strong commercial, social and environmental performance. To that end we have commissioned an ISO standards compliant Organisational Carbon Footprint analysis and report on our business to really understand not just what our carbon footprint is, but where within the organisation our emissions are coming from. Calculating our scope 1, 2 (direct) and 3 (indirect) emissions has enabled us to set a benchmark from which to base all of our future emissions reduction activities on to ensure the best possible outcome.
The conclusion of the first stage of our sustainability program has been to fully offset the residual emissions outlined in our year 1 report, and by doing so we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded neutralcarbonzone™ certification as a carbon neutral business.
Not only have we supported a fully accredited VCS registered carbon offset project to ensure complete and categoric standards compliant balancing of our GHG emissions, we also support the UK based Tree in a Million campaign. Ark Pest Control plants at least one tree per month to help further reduce carbon emissions, and boost the social and local economic benefits the campaign delivers to our community right here in the UK. We want our efforts to leave a lasting legacy, so we’re taking action!
